Finishing up on the final weeks of the Fall season, with only football and field hockey left, we congratulate our athletes on all of their hard work as we look forward and get ready for the Winter sports season!
Field Hockey: The Girls field hockey team had their first and final playoff game last Monday and unfortunately lost with a score of 3-0. Our girls put up a good fight and celebrated the end of a successful season despite their loss. This marks the end of their season, among many others’, but winter sports will be starting before we know it!
Football: This past week the football team played against Lexington. The final result of that game was 20-14 Waltham. This week, the team will take on Medford on Thursday night November 14th. The team is currently 5-4 and of course, hoping for a win on Thursday.
Highlights from Waltham v Lexington:
- Dane Deveaux had a passing and rushing touchdown
- Jayden Ssenfuma had a pick 6
- Noah Foy had the game clinching interception to go along with 5 receptions/ 127 receiving yards and a touchdown
