Every one of us is going through this right now because this is so important for our lives. It’s about our future education, maybe the job that we are going to have, maybe something that is going to be our way of making money and building our future. Course Selections.

For me right now it’s crazy because I have to choose what I want to learn, what is interesting and important to learn, considering how it’s going to impact my life, future, and living. I sit down by myself and discuss it all alone because I have to think of what I want to learn about that is going to help me with my future, because if you don’t think about your future, then who is going to think about it for you? You have to start taking actions and decisions that will be helpful in the future. Right now I have things on my mind, but I have to put it all together because I have to plan the way I want to create my life. I want to discuss what class I can take that can be good for me, that can get me lots of money so I can afford anything I want to have when I grow up.

I call it Schedule My Life.

My advice to you is to think before taking the wheel of your life in your hand. Think about what you want to learn, what you would want to become or want to do when you grow up. Also, think about the way you are going to make money. Additionally, remember that not everything is going to be the way you wanted it or you planned it to go. Sometimes it can go exactly the way you imagined it to be, sometimes it can go wrong or even go better. You need to hear your heart, you got, follow your dream and you will exceed!

Additionally, talk with adults, your parents, and your teachers. They all play a really big role in your life. It doesn’t matter if they are your parents, teachers, cousins, brothers or sisters, etc., what matters is that they care about you and they would, of course, want to help you. Trust them, sit down and talk to them, and share your thoughts on what you would like to learn, or what you think you would want to do when you grow up. Communicating is the most important because you learn from communicating with others. Don’t think you know everything, ask all of your questions – no question is too small, no question is embarrassing. We are all starting a life together and we all need some pathway that will lead us to what we want for ourselves. You can take the lead and go after it and create your own.

There are so many choices in the course selection so I began by thinking about what I like, what I want, and what I might want to do when I grow up. That’s why I selected AP Physics because I want to learn more about it, because it kind of brings me energy when I start learning/reading about it and exploring.

I spoke with my Physics teacher which is an essential part of communicating and making informed decisions with course selection. I asked questions about if he/she thinks I am capable of taking a higher advanced class or not. As well as feedback from trusted adults, self-awareness is very important. For example, I know that it is important that I like what I am doing. I love singing, exploring physics, and designing, but I know that I wouldn’t want to fill my schedule with the courses because I don’t see myself in those careers in the future. I selected several of the coding/programming classes because I’m interested in exploring career opportunities in that field.

Learn more and more and take your time about it. Learn what you love and stay kind.
