Daniela Lopez is a student-athlete at Waltham High School. She was born and raised in Massachusetts by immigrant parents. Her Mexican and Guatemalan background has influenced her world views. Issues concerning immigration and racism against Latinx people have always been important to her. Soccer has always been a big part of her life. She plays for WHS and New England Surf Soccer Club. With experience in the sports world and a love for writing, she has taken interest in sports journalism. When she’s not playing soccer, you can find her reading or spending time with friends and family.
