Top 4 Last-Minute Christmas Gift Ideas for Your Parents

D’Ani Jean, Staff Writer

The holiday season may be just the most crowded, complicated, and expensive time of the year. Thus saying, it usually takes up a lot of people’s time, especially when it comes to decorating around the house, deciding who’s having the Christmas party at which house, and preparing food. This ends up leaving presents to be the last thing that everyone is thinking about. Well, if you do turn out to forget a present for one of your parents, you’ve come to the right place.  Like some of you, I too tend to forget a lot, so I decided that if I don’t make this list now, I never will. Now enough talk, let’s jump right to it.

For Your Dad

 Tools

For some reason, every dad feels that he’s obligated to be some kind of “Bob-The-Builder” which drives me nuts. Almost every man in my family owns a mini tool kit in case of any accident happening in the house. At this point, it’s probably one of the biggest stereotypes in the world that will most likely not be changed any time soon. But, hey, people tend to enjoy having a fixer-upper in the house, a free one at that. So tools are definitely something that a dad would be awfully grateful to own.

Grilling Apron

Now, this is something you’ve got to get. This is a total guarantee that will leave your dad cheesing all day. Trust me, I would know. Like, dads will literally have your burgers BURNING and then they expect you to sit down and take a big bite out of their “delicacy”. Yeah right, I’ll pass on that one, unless I’m getting paid of course. But, watching my dad flip those burgers and hot dogs really does do something to me. And there’s nothing greater than to watch your old man enjoying himself.

For Your Mom

Slippers

I recommend this to ANYONE and EVERYONE who is truly stuck and has no clue what to get. Not only are moms helping us with everything and breaking their backs to prepare us for reality, which I’m sure can be a ton of work, but they’ve also got jobs and are paying bills. So believe me when I say this, your mom is going to cherish this for life. She’ll wear them from waking up out of bed to slipping right back into them.

Candles

Every mom loves to have their house smell heavenly. From Vanilla Rose to Pumpkin Spice, they have it all. Stored up in the back of the house where nobody lurks, the candles waiting, patiently. I haven’t met a mom who doesn’t just illuminate her entire house and can name every scent she’s bought. But, like I said, 10/10 gift for sure.

Final thoughts…

Well, I think it’s safe to say that this list is a total success. Each one of these ideas will surely bring happiness to each/one of your parents.

Once they tear apart that wrapping paper and open up that box, they will see the present of a lifetime. They’ll love it so much that it will remind them why they wanted kids to begin with. You don’t believe me? Go ahead and buy it, you’ll see.
